Peter Hudson – MD
Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Hudson is a physician and entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience in healthcare-related businesses. Prior to co-founding Healthagen, Dr. Hudson has served as managing business partner and CFO of his multi-facility medical group, CEO of several healthcare-related startups, investment banking partner with EMA partners, a boutique mergers and acquisitions advisory firm, and independent consultant for healthcare-related private equity investments. Both with EMA and in his own business activities, Dr. Hudson has been involved in a variety of transactions, including restructurings, sell- and buy-side transactions, and founding and selling one of his startups to a public company in 2005.

Peter enjoys golf, biking, and can be found telemark skiing with his wife and two daughters in Steamboat, CO during the winter.

Wayne Guerra – MD, MBA
Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer

Wayne GuerraAs a Board member and Vice-President of a large physician service management company, Dr. Guerra has been a risk manager for more than 15 years and currently directs a medical board that reviews over 500,000 emergency department visits a year. He obtained medical and undergraduate degrees from UCLA and his MBA from the University of Denver. Dr. Guerra is a past oral board examiner for the American Board of Emergency Medicine and is currently an emergency physician practicing in the Denver metro area.

When not working with iTriage Wayne enjoys golf, fly fishing and spending time with his wife and three daughters.

Jim Greiner – Chief Operations Officer

Greiner brings deep strategy and business development experience to the mix. In addition to his work at Healthagen, Greiner currently serves as an independent board member and business advisor to RockeTalk, Inc., a mobile social networking start-up. He also is a business advisor to two other start-ups. Previously, Greiner served as President and CEO of RockeTalk in 2008, and led MapQuest, Inc. as Senior Vice President and General Manager from 2005-2007. Within MapQuest, Greiner also led marketing, business development, and product management functions from 1999-2005. Previous experience includes web product management within US WEST’s (now Qwest Communications) Internet Division, as well as several years at one healthcare and two business development consulting firms. Greiner holds an MBA from University of Colorado at Boulder and a Bachelor of Science degree from Syracuse University.

In his free time, Jim loves spending time with his family, and attempts to get outside, as much as possible to mountain bike, trail run and ski.

Jonathan White – VP Sales and Business Development

With over 20 years of sales experience, Jonathan will lead Healthagen’s effort in selling iTriage to major hospital groups, urgent care companies, physician groups and insurance companies. Also, drawing on his last several years of investment banking experience, he will help drive broader business development activities. Jonathan has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University.

When not working at iTriage, Jonathan enjoys spending time with his wife and chasing around their three boys.

TECHNOLOGY

Adam Bialek – Director of Product and Technology

To Healthagen, Adam Bialek brings 12 years of experience developing new products for early stage companies. With his extensive knowledge of Internet technologies and Web 2.0 marketing techniques, he has built the iTriage multi-platform health decision tool, fostered the development team and constructed the different interfaces to access the iTriage information. Bialek studied Computer Science and English at the University of Massachusetts, and previously served in technology, product management and marketing roles with CanDoGo.com, Helium.com, Intuitect, MallNetworks and the Risk Management Foundation.

When he’s not working on iTriage, Bialek spends time with his wife walking their dog, rock climbing, skiing, mountain biking and sailing.

Krishna Achanta – Software Developer

Known as the Healthagen employee that says so little, but accomplishes so much, Krishna Achanta works quietly behind his computer performing his software development magic for the iTriage products. Prior to joining the company, Achanta worked as a Java consultant for Gomiapp in New Jersey and as a Software Developer for i3logix, LLC. Achanta received his undergraduate degree in Electronics and Communications from Nagarjuna University in India and his Masters in Computer Science from Western Kentucky University. He hopes to begin his studies toward a PhD in Computer Science in a few years.

When not researching new technologies for iTriage, you’ll find Krishna behind a chessboard, playing volleyball, traveling, hiking or whipping out the curry to make a mean biriyani dish – his personal favorite.

Kevin McFadden – Software Engineer

With 20 years experience managing Unix, Linux, and Windows systems and 16 years developing Web applications, McFadden brings a wealth of knowledge to Healthagen’s development department. McFadden started his career by developing camera control software for detector testing on the Spitzer Space Telescope and previously worked as the Director of Technology for Viget Labs. McFadden holds a B.S. degree in Physics and Astronomy from the University of Rochester and Healthagen is proud to have this “wicked smart” engineer as part of the iTriage team.

After wanting to move to Colorado for 20 years, McFadden finally set out on a cross-country motorcycle trip to the Mile High City. He now commutes daily from Colorado Springs to the Healthagen office, located in Denver West.

Sam Murphy – Ruby on Rails® Engineer

Murphy began creating web applications as early as high school and is now excited to be working with Ruby, which he thinks is the best programming language in the world. Murphy comes to Healthagen from his last job in Cincinnati, OH, where he worked for Gardner Publications writing internal web applications. His college education focus was on Industrial Design.

As a Colorado native, Sam is our resident granola-head because his spare time is spent cooking vegan food, riding a scooter and gardening. He also has a vegan website called VeganDojo.com, which he and long-time girlfriend work on together.

Dan Tucker – Product and QA Manager

An experienced Project Manager, Dan Tucker brings to Healthagen the knowledge and necessary skills to generate effective ideas and strategies. As a Senior Project Manager with Servicemagic.com, Tucker most recently oversaw a complete redesign of user experience, new customer acquisition and partner integration. Tucker has also created several small business websites, undoubtedly fueled by his continued desire to learn the latest technologies and techniques.

When Dan manages to step away from his computer, he enjoys a range of interests including independent music and film, roller derby, politics, literature and designer board games.

Craig Williams – Software Engineer

Williams has been building databases with FileMaker Pro, as well as websites for over 15 years. He has extensive knowledge in computer process automation and building desktop applications for the Mac. His favorite programming language is Ruby and he has a passion for Ruby on Rails. Before becoming a full time programmer, Craig owned a successful printing company for ten years. Craig also served in the military for three years and was in the first Gulf war.

Outside of the office, Craig enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, reading technical books and playing guitar.

Hugo Lallo – Interim Director of Sales

Hugo Lallo brings more than eight years of sales experience to his role as Interim Director of Sales with Healthagen. He specializes in the full sales cycle and business development. Prior to joining Healthagen, Lallo worked for CLS Recruiting, Rx Pro Health in medical recruiting and Allen Associates. Lallo holds double degrees in Computer Science and Classical Archeology from the University of Massachusetts.

Rafting is his preferred method of enjoyment, but Lallo has also been known to tolerate camping, at the insistence of his fiancé.

Kaley Pilgrim – Sales Executive

With a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Kaley Pilgrim brings a unique understanding of what motivates clients to make purchases in the healthcare field. She also works in area Emergency Departments with Drs. Guerra and Hudson, in a physician efficiency program that she developed. Pilgrim will begin work on her Master’s in Physician’s Assistant Studies this fall.

Outside of the office, Pilgrim hangs out with family and friends, travels and occasionally makes the trek back to Boulder for a CU Buffs game.

Tatum Prehn – Account Manager

Tatum Prehn has been selling and managing healthcare-related accounts for the past 10 years. Prior to joining the Healthagen sales team, Prehn worked in the Northern California and Oregon region as a Regional Manager for Rx Relief. Within her previous work experience, Prehn has forged client relationships in new company territories, worked with clients on contract negotiations and account implementation. She enjoys working with healthcare clients and loves it when her phone is ringing off the desk.

Tatum — (sounds like Adam) — keeps the office entertained with her delightful stories about being the mom to two-year-old twin girls.

Karena Stocker – Account Executive

A veteran in executive recruiting, Karena Stocker brings her talent as a “people person” to Healthagen’s medical facility clients. Prior to joining Healthagen, Stocker worked for world’s largest executive staffing firm – Korn/Ferry International and as a Senior Recruiter in Colorado with Kaiser Permanente. Stocker often takes center stage in the sales department with her quick wit and jovial sales approach, likely stemming from her undergraduate Theater degree from Mesa State College.
In her younger years, Karena served as a river rafting guide.

Now with a two-year-old son named Bishop, she flits between jaunts at the zoo, play dates at the local climbing gym, and dreams of getting back on the water with her husband and son.

Michael Frost – Director of Health Plan Sales

Michael Frost comes to Healthagen with more than 20 years of sales, marketing and operational leadership in managed health care, Medicare, workers’ compensation and hospitals. Having worked with small local organizations, to Fortune 100 companies, he is uniquely qualified with extensive experience in sales and marketing, business operations, product development, provider relationship management, and ASO services.

His role with Healthagen is to develop relationships with health plans, insurance carriers, TPAs, and other healthcare payors to introduce & implement the cost savings and transparency iTriage brings to plan members.

When not working, Michael enjoys spending time with his sons & grandson in Las Vegas, and with his lovely new wife, Deb.

PUBLIC RELATIONS & MARKETING

Suzy Buglewicz – Assistant Marketing/PR Coordinator

Suzy Buglewicz brings over 20 years of marketing, PR and copy writing experience to Healthagen. As a former shopping center marketing director, she was responsible for all of the marketing and advertising for thirteen shopping centers in the southeast. In addition, she has written marketing materials for several businesses, as well as articles for local and regional publications. Buglewicz received her B.A. in Communications from Indiana University and most recently was a staff writer, for seven years, at a local family magazine.

When Suzy is not at the office, she and her husband try desperately to keep up with their three very active teenagers on the ski slopes, tennis court and everywhere in between. Suzy also enjoys reading, Broadway musicals and everything and anything nautical.

Mike Guinan – Online Marketing Specialist

For 13 years Mike Guinan ran his own Web development and marketing company that helped start-up and established businesses gain more exposure in the online and offline arenas. His computer career began when he became a Flash designer; that evolved into Web applications and Website design, brand consulting, and online/offline marketing. For the past eight years Guinan has helped companies maximize their online exposure through search engine optimization, pay per click and social media campaigns.

When not working at Healthagen, Mike likes to ski, play the bass, check out live music, and “enjoys” working on one of his house projects.

Marcia Noyes – Director of Marketing and PR

As a former television news reporter, freelance newspaper journalist and magazine writer, Marcia Noyes brings more than 30 years of communication experience to Healthagen. Her work has been published in the Denver Post, Kids’ Pages Family Magazine, Southern Living, Enlightened Woman, Chicken Soup for the Body & Soul, and aired on CNN and ABC Morning News. Prior to joining Healthagen, Noyes was the Marketing Director for a local family publication in Metro Denver.

Noyes also has a passion for long-distance running and hopes to finally qualify for the Boston Marathon in 2010, but she’ll definitely have to pick up the pace. (May help that she got an extra five minutes on the qualifying time now that she’s 50!)

CONTENT DIRECTION

Alicia Verity – MSPH, Director of Content

Alicia Verity brings 20 years of experience in the healthcare field, along with a Master’s Degree in Public Health, both of which uniquely positions her to help guide Healthagen’s content and user experience. Her experience ranges from the trenches of managed care health insurance, and physician education to hospital based patient advocacy. Verity, as well as the whole Healthagen staff is passionate about empowering healthcare consumers with useable medical information at the point of care. Verity received her education at UCLA and research experience at the RAND Corporation.

When she is not promoting patient empowerment and the necessity for healthcare reform Alicia enjoys time with her husband and three daughters, playing tennis, gardening and reading the classics. Her next challenge is figuring out how to raise chickens in an urban setting.

ADMINISTRATION

JoAnn Beane – Office Manager/HR Director

With more than 14 years of experience in helping start-up companies flourish and 13 years as a Regional Manager for a mobile diagnostic service, Beane brings to Healthagen the special talents and skills necessary to help steer the expansive growth that Healthagen has enjoyed. It takes a special kind of person to keep an expanding start-up’s HR needs on target and that’s where Beane shines. Healthagen uses Beane’s 27 years of experience and knowledge in bookkeeping and HR management, and combines that with her skills at handling all domestic and international travel arrangements for Healthagen’s CEO and CMO.

Married for 19 years, Beane passions are camping, fishing and gardening. Though she no longer has much time to read, her favorite book remains, Dutch: A Memoir of Ronald Regan.

Michelle Knight – Administrative Assistant

Michelle Knight brings a strong background in customer service to Healthagen. For the past six years, she has honed her talents in data entry, account management, research and administrative support. Her organizational skills and ability to provide and maintain detailed customer information make her a terrific asset to the administrative team.

Outside of the office, Knight enjoys spending as much time as she can outdoors with her two daughters and fiancé, rooting for the home team at Denver Broncos and Nuggets games, and scrapbooking.

Tiffany Baker, Executive Administrator

Tiffany brings to the Healthagen team over 15 years of experience in both the executive administration and legal fields, and she is also a paralegal. In her role as Executive Administrator for Healthagen, she assists both Dr’s Hudson and Guerra, as well as the Sales and Development departments.

Originally from Atlanta, GA, Tiffany’s interests outside of the office include hiking, camping and going to concerts. She also enjoys coaching softball and letting her Siberian husky take her out for walks.
